Primary Services Offered
Food Ministry
The mission of the Food Ministry is to create multiple avenues of providing food to those needing a meal. From the short term
meal needs of those temporarily shut in, to food drives, to monthly sandwiches for
the homeless and Cabrini's Cupboard, our on-site food pantry provides
non-perishable food to those in need.
Lunch Bunch Is part of a coalition of churches, which
has been providing lunches for over 20 years on Sundays for the homeless. It is
run through the Volunteers of America on Lawrence St. downtown. The lunch bunch
volunteers make bagged lunches 4 different times throughout the year. This
ministry was initiated because there were no soup kitchens or sandwich lines on
Sundays. Each lunch should consist of 2
sandwiches, a piece of fruit and a sweet. Please bring lunches to the parish
hall before Sat. Mass or between 7am and 11:15 am on Sunday morning. Thank you
in advance for your generosity. We have completed our responsibility for 2009
and have not received our schedule for 2010.
Food Collection Box The Outreach and Assistance Ministry at St.
Frances Cabrini does a food drive twice a year. To help meet the needs of
Cabrini's Cupboard and other local food banks throughout the year, food bins are
located in the gathering space. Please feel free to drop off food at anytime
during the week. Our schedule for 2010 has not been determined. Thank you for
your generosity.
